Jason Jones Photography- the Blog

Sometimes 20 is enough. While working at my day job, I decided to go out on my short little luch break after eating and take a few shots with my new lens. I have been progressively under the influence more and more of the photobug lately. Which is good, because when you do something for a living, even if it is something you truly love to do, it begins to feel more like a chore, than a passion. So I took the new girl out for a spin, only having 20 minutes, I walked across the street. i took a few shots of the railroad tracks, and wandered over the new bridge to downtown Placentia. I wandered around for no more than 10 minutes, then headed back to work. While shooting, I found a lot of charm in a very small downtown area, that I normally would rather drive around than through. Here is the shot I chose to edit first. I love the look and feel of this image. It has a nostalgic feeling of the early 1900’s, yet has the setting of a pre-turn of this century photo( notice the pre-historic public phone? Probably one of the few left around!) Anyway, I am very pleased that I was able to get out and find a beautiful shot in such a short time, and to strech my legs, and excercise my creativity. Sometimes 20 is all it takes.
